I'm not really seeing a case for Carter other than sheer aggression. It was a clear win for Giardello in my opinion.

I haven't seen the Giardello/Carter fight for years, but my recollection is that it was a clear win for Joey ,and this is reflected in the unanimous decision, and the scorecards 72-66,71-66,70-67.

Lest we forget Joey Giardello was THIRTY FOUR years old when he won a decisioin from Reuben Carter in 1964. A hell of an accomplishment...Joey had just 6 more fights and then retired...A wily ole cuss...

according to me experience ,Giardello was 1 MASTER boxer .
He did manage to stun/backup Dick Tiger, 1 gr8 Fighter in his own ,
    rites . Tiger wud , at least b. Hagler's EQUAL, best ,
    belve tht. :deal :good

It Is my opinon tht ,
    Giardelo wud b. taken 2 One (1) tr3nches aginst ,
hagler . However , Giardelo had A BRILIANT HEART!
