Yes, the very slick, clever and cagy Giardello had FAR more on the ball than Rocky, and would have outboxed him without any difficulty. A one sided boxing exhibition from the wizard Giardello. Admittedly, this kind of fight would have made Giardello look REAL good.

Giardello, IMO was one of the smatest, cagiest boxers of all time and was way too good to be taken out by a slugger like Rocky.

Big Dee, Giardello had an absolutely great chin. In your opinion, did Rocky hit that much harder than a Henry Hank or Rubin Carter? It's hard to imagine anybody taking Giardello out to be honest. How dangerous was Rocky compared to guys like a Julian Jackson or Gerald McClellan?
Rocky was a hell of a colorful character with a big punch. To this day I don't know how he took one from Zale except maybe Zale was not that great either ... Joey would box Rocky's ears off and take him apart ... no problem here.
