Defeated Riddick Bowe, Lennox Lewis, Tyrell Biggs, and Teofilo Stevenson. Tyrell doesn't count for much among that line-up but he was an accomplished amateur himself so oh well.

Only fight I can think of who compares is, strangly enough, nearly completely forgotten Craig Payne.

Payne actually defeated, get this... Mike Tyson, Felix Savon and Stevenson.

Too bad his lazy ass took over 6 years off in-between his first and second pro fights and weighed 300 pounds for his second professonal fight. Infuriating.

    So, what've you got?

Gonzalez turned pro with no trainer whatsoever, just a bucket guy huge mistake. If you watch the Bowe Gonzalez fight his supposed trainer was having a nervous breakdown in the corner, he didnt know what to do. Bowe ruined him, but he would have done better had he gotten a good trainer. He was a big dude that could punch and box.

He probably wouldn't have bothered to listen anyway. And Steve Wynn took major league bath on the guy and it really turned the tide for good and presently no casino will sign a guy to exclusives.

JLG was a huge guy standing at if memory serves around 6ft 7in, I remember watching his early fight on USA when he was bombing out the usual suspects like Phil Brown, Kimmuel Odum and Mike White. The guy could punch and had a good chin, the problem as someone else here stated he had no trainer and was so rough and unpolished as a fighter he had zero defense which is why Bowe and Witherspoon just destroyed him they beat the giant heavy bag to a pulp. I have many of his Ama fights and the guy looked pretty good back then but as a pro you had a super arrogant fighter who was sure he could KO anyone in the division at the time and he was dead wrong. I have an old KO Magazine where he talks about how he will tear Mike Tyson and anyone in the division apart, lol! What could have been had he came over earlier and teamed up with proper trainers.....
