Johann Duhaupas is a 35 year old 6'5 Heavyweight with a 34-3 21 KO's record. Born and fighting out of Abbeville, Somme, France. This Poids Lourd Français has been on quite a roll this year so far. First he was robbed to a certain extent, in where else Germany, after he quasi schooled the up and coming Erkan Teper, where in reality the match was far closer than the scores indicated. And instead of sitting on his laurels and feeling down he decided to pick himself up by the bootstraps and jump right back into the thick of it, by taking on Lebanese hype job Manuel Charr, who's been given far more credit than he should have because his match with Vitali was stopped because of a cut instead of a KO, which bizarrely led to somewhat of a following. Well Duhaupas finished what Povetkin started by thoroughly embarrassing and dominating his ass from start to finish. So after the year he's had so far, I think his name should be put in the mix as a legit opponent for a few of the up and comers and maybe even eventually for a title shot. France usually doesn't have much to get excited over in the sport of Boxing maybe for once they may have reason to celebrate. So Check Out Johan even though he lacks big power he makes up for it with Skill. :toney:toney:toney:toney

I've wondered the same thing, but maybe he's a late bloomer and he's just hitting his stride, its good that something has finally seemed to lite a fire under his ass.

It looked to me like Charr was clearly coming on in the Klistchko fight, and that Vitali was clearly fading. he got a well-deserved stoppage by cut, and then did exactly what he criticized Lennox Lewis for; retired without giving a rematch.

:-(Charr looked good for a few seconds, not enough to hang any theoretical hats on though.

Duhaupas might just turn out to be another unpolished gem like Takam. Perez was Takams coming out party, this win wasn't on that level but it definitely put Duhaupas on the map. Maybe now he'll get a better trainer, team/management behind him. It's just a hunch but I don't think he was training full time. His conditioning is horrible, and that's been his Achilles heel more than anything else based on the fights I've seen... This dude needs a new trainer, and a strength/conditioning coach. I believe he can make waves like Takam did if everything aligns correctly.

The Pianeta fight was questionable from what I've heard as well(haven't seen it)

32-2 with 2 QUESTIONABLE losses to fringe contenders ain't a bad record, especially for a guy with absolutely zero hype/following besides a few Frenchies, and hardcores.

The more I think about it, the more he reminds me of Malik Scott... Although there are some similarities. He's seems to have more power than Scott, gets hit a bit easier but also seems to take a punch better(also more heart), not as good in the conditioning department either. But he really is like his French counterpart

You cannot compare those two situations, can you :patsch

Vitali schooled Charr and stopped him on cuts. Charr did not win any minute of that fight = no rematch needed

Vitali was winning the fight against Lewis and got stopped on cuts. = rematch needed

Yeah anyone who says Charr was coming on against Vitali is clearly a hater... Vitali was schooling him. Charr was extremely reckless, and it was only a matter of time before Vitali KO'd him. He was was already down on his ass once.

So, did charr lost that fight, uh? What's that, the Lennox curse? Every fighter he tries to improve, gets beaten by fighters who aren't supposed to trouble them much.

Price with Thompson, now Charr. It's getting depressing.

Lennox might be a bad trainer, or he just picks the wrong fighters to train.... Charr would have lost this regardless of whether Lennox was help train him or not.

I honestly tought Charr was better than that, and that his opponent wouldn't have troubled him at all. A sure decision. :blood Now Charr's career is in serious troubles, i think nobody expected that.
