Cooper was a small heavyweight, Conteh started as a heavy before moving down. Puncher v boxer, honest grafter who made the most of his abilities v massive talent whose arguably wasted his potential and whose best days were behind him at 26. Cooper's best weight was bang on the original cruiser limit while Conteh could have gained a few pounds with no problems. I can't see past Conteh jabbing 'Enry into a late cuts stoppage, but that left hand could be a great equalizer.
You've made a very good case here. John holds the aces, skillwise, but Henry has a very good puncher's chance.
Conteh’s propensity for using his head as a battering ram makes this a near lock for a bloody mess. In those days they didn’t go to the scorecards if a fight ended on cuts stoppage due to a butt, just a TKO … so I guess John by nefarious means gets the cheap win.
