Of course I agree that Conteh would beat the **** out of Froch, this thread is so one-sided it doesn't bring the kind of debate this forum needs. This is turning into a pretentious general forum by a number of tedious posters.
I liked Conteh but personally find him to be a bit overrated .. he didn't just have bad hands, he had bad focus and poor training .. he was an ultimate party boy ..I do think he was a very good fighter and loved his classic first fight against Saad but feel at his best he lacked the drive or firepower to beat Galindez , Saad, Mustafa, Qwai or Spinks .. I do like Froch but he couldn't handle Conteh.
As tough as Froch was, Jermaine Taylor dropped him and hurt him. Conteh decapitates him. So would Saad. Froch stands no chance whatsoever against either one.
Surprised w the anti-froth talk .. the guy was an iron man, well conditioned and fought his heart out .. also left the game on his own terms .. I'm a fan.
When George Francis trained Conteh he was as fit as any boxer, and he showed it by winning Superstars , He was a genuine top class fighter.Don't think he didn't have a top class wallop either. Saad's corner used Monsel's solution to stop his cuts.Conteh may well have won that fight otherwise. Parlov came into the ring with a quarter of an inch of plastic skin on his eyebrows and was allowed to get away with it. Before the booze, broads ,and sniff got him ,Conteh would have been even money against Galindez.
To me the Superstars meant he was a good and knowledgable athlete which is cool but means little .. almost all boxers tank on the Superstars and some like Frazier were all time greats .. I do like the guy but just was not that impressed .. he had is hands full with Lopez, he was flat against Parlov, was crushed by Saad twice ( ultimately) .. I guess to me I wanted him to be better than he performed ..
