This is a great match up and I would not be surprised to see Jack Hurley's boy Harry take it! Fighting Marciano is one thing , Conteh another!
Under Hurley, the postwar version of Matthews would have been too much for Conteh. Harry drops him to seal the deal late, either by stoppage or decision.
I'veonly watched Matthews against Nardico, Murphy , marciano and maybe another one or two fights that i'd need to check, but he didn't make much impact on me.Didn't look anywhere near as sophisticated a boxer-puncher as conteh at his best, though looks can be deceiving of course. He's got some good wins, albeit guys like marshall and Basora had seen better days.Is there something i'm overlooking in him?.
