I think Conteh would win too, but Hill would be tough to beat.
He never had much beyond a beautiful jab and good movement, but often that was enough. I don't think that it would be against Conteh though, but it would be a good fight, and one that goes the distance with not a whole lot to get excited about.

Hill was a very good fighter, but always lost against the best opposition. so Conteh definitely gets my vote.

Conteh would edge a close but pretty dull match, he had the better 'all round game'.

John Conteh possessed very good power, when he let it go, the left hook that Dropped Hutchins, or the Right hand that flattened Leo Rogers were not love taps, there are other examples, but Conteh was usually doing damage with fast combinations, Virgil was a very neat boxer, but i would be a bit concerned for him if he should start to frustrate John a little, because thats when John can go a little "Street" with careless headwork in amongst the combinations, i think Virgil can hold his own when it stays a boxing match, but there would come a time i fear when, perhaps with a bit of "Stokeing" from ex Docker George Francis, Conteh goes a Little bit Industrial with Virgil when he gets him against the ropes, Virgil may i think stay on his bike to the final bell - I remember Chris Finnegan outboxing a reserved Conteh for five rounds in the Rematch, in the six round Conteh went "Jungle Cat" as one paper called it, Finnegans head was a crimson mask of blood, Conteh was very fast to switch to offense mode, it was only So-Mo replays showed Contehs, careless headwork (Again) with the Finnegan camp Showing Finnegans cut to be Above and behind the ear... Lonnie Bennet also got his eye unzipped against Conteh, it was the usual Situation, a big Punch from Conteh Lands, and instantly Conteh was on him and not too careful what went with the punches....Virgil always Seemed to be a gentleman and i'm not too sure he would be able to fully deal with this mix of Cultured boxing and "Jungle-Cat" ferocity, should the blood flow.

Conteh was I think very underrated. If I remember correctly, he had a bad hand... He had a good all around game, good boxer, sharp jab, nice footwork and some pop in his punch. I like Conteh by UD. He just had a better all around game than Hill. Hill didn`t have much of a right hand, always made great use of his jab. I don`t see him beating the likes of Conteh with just that. I do see him going the distance. But UD all the way for Conteh...

Providing John had two healthy hands and was in top shape,he'd have too much skill and aggression for Hill.

Conteh by clear UD or late TKO.

This must not be a serious question?

Hill had a good jab, Conteh had a better jab.

Conteh was better at everything else.

Good jabbing contest but Conteh would win without too much hassle. And I'm talking about one handed Conteh, the one that beat Yaqui Lopez much easier than Saad did (when he used his underrated jab in the first fight) or Galindez.

Give him two hands and he'd keep Hill even more honest.
