    I have never seen Duddy in the same way his Irish,Irish/American fans have.I've always thought him pretty average and couldn't see what all the fuss was about.Its that old white heavyweight prospect mentality.Cant believe that anyone thought he was world champion material.

    He was hyped 3 years ago, but there have been nothing but questions since Yory Boy. Looks like a case where rushing him to the payday would have been the right way to go.

    This is probably true. In saying that, im very sad to see John lose, i know his brother and to be honest John Duddy got me interested in boxing. Im eagerly awaiting my first amateur fight because of this man so i hope he can come back.

    the hype he got was that he was the new gatti... fighter with limited skills but heart... and to be honest... i dont see that flame in him that gatti had....

    i do see a rematch coming tho considering he was ahead by a good margin on the 3rd scorecard.
