Like the look of this fight, could be a good little tear up. Both aren't world class but at least one of them will lose the tag of being a world title contender (JJC jr :yep)

 

Two ham n eggs who exhibit little skill and finesse. At least its good riddens to one of them after this.

 

Hopefully Chavez jr does the job, if only to shut up the rabid, ''Duddy would KO Monzon, Hagler and Hopkins on the same night'' Irish fans.

 

Beating chavez jnr will most likely go down as johns biggest achievement, c`mon john!

Mandanda, you're normally up to speed on these things, can you tell me if Kessler was ment to fight Miranda at one point but pulled out? Its been doing my head in as someone pulled me up on it yesterday.

I don't really remember the timeline of events but i think this came at a time when Miranda had an impressive victory following his fight with Pavlik and well before the Abraham II fight...thus before the label of poor man's Mayorga. If i remember correctly Pantera gave up a laundry list of concessions to Kessler and Showtime even secured the bout with a $1 million non-refundable retainer. After all the concessions with gloves, ring size, 10 rounds vs. 12, Kessler still ducked out....you'll probabily tell me otherwise though.

 

I was taking the ****, but Irish boxing fans (on here) are the most biased I've ever come across in any sport.

Other than D-Mac I've not seen an Irish fan either picking against an Irish fighter or saying he isn't a fan of so and so.

Plus there's the old ''he's not British, he's Irish'' argument when talking about fighters from NI. Who really cares?
