Why doesn't Duddy move down to 154 and get into some good scraps with guys down there? He is clearly outsized for 160lbs and there is no way that he CAN'T make 154lbs...He could even get into some good brawls with Angulo and Martirosiyan etc...I'm not picking him to win against them but who knows maybe he picks up more speed and maybe his power is more effective at 154?...

So anyways since we see that Duddy has some serious flaws as a fighter and he is more exciting than anything...Why don't we just throw Duddy in there with Chavez jr??? If Chavez Jr gets his ass rolled over by Duddy than what does that say about Chavez?

i too look at him and dont see why he doesnt drop to 54... but im sure he would have if he could have. theres a huge differance in resistance in those two divisions as far as opposition go. he has no chance at middle

i know its pretty much crazy, but wouldn't you be totally interested if he dropped down to 154lbs. Dude he has to be able to make 154 he has to. He is so blown up for 160lbs he really is..Look at these beasts like pavlik taylor eastman and miranda fighting at 160!! and your telling me little ass duddy can only make 160lbs? maybe he needs to lay off the irish beer a bit and burn some lbs off.

IDK about you but I'm growing some serious interest in the 154lb divisions.

    angulo
    martirosiyan
    chavez jr
    spinks
    forrest
    williams
    Duddy if he could
who was the guy that ko'd "made in hell" karmazin? (lol)

Any other names I left out?? Either way I think Duddy vs Chavez jr would be totally fantastic.

not a chance duddy is dropping down to jr mw,not a chance,he is 5'11" and is very skinny for mw,he just doesnt have the same muscle build as the JTs or miranda, look how skinny pavlik is.i think duddy needs some serious strength training to reignite it,he does have it definatly.

so are you saying Duddy can't make 154lbs or he doesn't want to? Trinidad was nearly 6 feet tall and he made 147lbs for a long time and look at the power he had there. Why can't Duddy burn 6 more lbs to make 154? He is NOT THAT BIG, I really don't understand it dude he is like half the man that Edison Miranda is and yet they were fighting at the same weight? :think lol

    isnt it roman karmazin?
yea but take joe calzaghe for example,he looked anorexic standing next to kessler yet is naturally heavier than him, hence all his struggles to make the smw limit.i understand your point about looking, but you cant forget about things like bone density.
i think it would be a good idea for john to go down to jmw,but in a business sense,it doesnt make any,hes gona make $5m for pavlik, why go down and fight someone like spinks for $500k,it doesnt make any sense.

I would personally fight pavlik then go down to 154lbs but I actually think he can make some decent money getting into some good wars at 154lbs. The opponents at 154lbs are perfect for him to fight some crazy wars in. Chavez jr vs Duddy would be ridiculously filled with action it would be so fun to see. Thank goodness for B level fighters like Duddy, if this sport was filled with only technically flawless fighters it wouldn't be half the sport that it is right now. Half the fun is watching random tough ass sobs go at it blood and guts in the middle of the ring.

I wonder how that crowd felt going from a Duddy fight to that awful Wlad fight?
