Thats the word on the streets:yep http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/other-sports/duddy-up-for-sinclair-duel-14599111.html
This is not terribly exciting news outside of Ireland. Sinclair does not represent a step up from Munoz.
According to Boxrec he is fighting the great Juan Astorga 14-3-0 (all three losses by stoppage). :-( The guy is 30 now, been a pro for over six years. Carl Froch has only been pro a year longer and despite having less fights, has conquered the domestic scene and won the WBC title..... making two defences. When is this guy gonna face someone with a pulse?
finally someone makes a thread that doesn't involve Mayweather or Pacquio and all he gets is abuse:-(
you obviously dont watch any outside of the US then! Sinclair was a world junior medalist and won gold at the Commonwealth games as and am and an Irish and British champion as a pro and fought for a WBO title. I see this as a This content is protected
What a dick! why would you come onto the thread and leave a pointless comment like that?!..people are strange
duddy is 31 but you are missing the point with him. even in ireland knowledgeable boxing fans know duddy is quite limited at world level no doubt, hell id even say he would struggle to win a euro title but he fights in entertaining fights and has the type of character that make people wana watch him. hes no world beater but hes popular and the guy is trying to make a decent living and life for himself, get a big payday and retire with his brains intact. thats fair enough imo and the guy doesnt claim to be anything more than he is. as for sinclair, hes a guy that had his career taken one or two better turns earlier on he would have been euro champ easily and picked up a world strap imo. hes a very dangerous fight for duddy but is a bit shop worn so if its at 160 duddy will probably wear him down. as for this fight not meaning anything, at world level thats clearly true, however it will be a good fight and if your a boxing fan how does that not mean anything?:think
