I admit having only seen Hearns' single fight on HBO, but he did not strike me as flawed enough to lose to Duddy. I'm curious to see what people think though, especially since I'm going to see Hearns fight live in a couple of weeks.
I like the way it look's on paper.. "Hearns Vs. Duddy" (Like a mismatch of epic proportions...lol) Why mess with it, I'll take Hearns.
This is one of the few fights I think Duddy has a reasonable chance of winning. Hearns is tall and awkward like his father, but doesn't have the balance, handspeed or power of his father. I've seen him rocked a few times against much lighter hitters than Duddy, and while Duddy is a fairly limited fighter, I think he'll bring enough pressure to TKO Hearns at some point.
im gonna go with hearns outboxing duddy over the distance ive only seen his fight with smichet but duddy had the worst defense of any active "name" fighter i've ever seen (well, ok katsidis during the first couple rounds in the casamayor fight was frickin HORRIBLE too, but at least he adjusted) hearns is long, can box a little, and has a bit of pop in his right hand
A surprising number have Hearns by KO - thats unlikely unless Duddy cuts up badly.Duddy is tough and has been in a few wars already. No doubt he is very limited but i think he has enough power to dispose of Hearns in 7 or 8 rounds
I just don't think Hearns has the fire power or durability to stand up to Duddy, John KO's the tall man in 8:bbb Do any of you know what 154 champ the winner of this fight gets to fight?:huh I wish Duddy was still fighting at 160 he vs Pavlik is a true dream fight between the two most exciting in boxing:bbb
Hars to tell. Hearns has never been tested. Duddy failed the test twice in my opinion (Campas and Smichet).
