Sam Hill, so we get to watch him lean on the ropes again for 10 rounds while someone whales on him? Not worth it. Duddy is taking a big step backward fighting that guy. Who's next...Grady Brewer?
Duddy needs to learn some damn Defense. At least practice slipping punches, he just makes himself too easy of a target.
Verno Philips and Ronald Hearns both dodged him - whats he supposed to do, not fight at all because they wont face him??
It's just a tune up basically. Duddy should get him out of there relatively quickly assuming there's a just and loving god. I gotta admit that the opponent is still pretty cheesy for a tune up fight...hopefully this is the last of this sort for a guy like Duddy.
I thought Hearna was taking the fight with Duddy early next year are saying that fight is not on?:huh
I don't mind a contenders fighting club fighters at times to stay active and feed there following the only problem I have with it in this fight is Duddy cuts so easy:-( And a cut from in the Hill fight might mean Duddy won't face Hearns early next year:verysad
I am looking for someone to tape and send me a few fights that are coming up in the US on an ongoing basis, this John Duddy Vs Sam Hill fight being one of them. If anyone can help, reply and we can discuss payment details, etc
But he already fought Howe? That guy is the definition of "club fighter"! I'll never understand why Gilbert was roided up to fight him.
I think they want too have Duddy work on is boxing skills under his new Trainer and Duddy fighting guys like Howe and Hill can do that. Hopefully when they work out Kinks in Duddy style he will make true run for the big time. But I really think should start to have Duddy only big money fights with guys like Sergio Mora , Yuri Foreman, Ricardo Mayorgo and Julio Casar Chaves JR all winnable fights for Duddy. Then it be time too cash in a title try with Pavlik or even a bout with De la Hoya:good
