definitely not fight of the year, but I saw it when it actually happened and I was on the edge of my seat, simply put that fight is an underrated classic. I miss John Duddy. I understand why he retired, kind of why I understand pawel wolak's retirement, but damn, John Duddy really didnt give a ****. he was a warrior first and foremost. look at his fight against walid smichet too. I would've loved to see him against peter manfredo in an east coast Irish vs Italian war.

Great post! Sounds like you were a real Duddy fan like myself. He was a warrior, didn't have the best head movement, so got hit alot, but like you said, he just didn't give a ****, loved the sport & tried his utmost to be a dynamic fighter with good punching technique. You can't get much more dynamic then John was against Campas that night back in 2006.

    Another memorable one!:smoke

Great ****ing fight with Gus Johnson at his deranged best!

Duddy was Arcesque in his ability to entertain and turn every fight into a war. He was no P4Per but he delivered bang for buck in a major way!

Two big thumbs up Messers Campas and Duddy!

Not the fight of the year even, but a great battle between two warriors who wouldn't quit.

If you liked this one, try to get a hold of Daniel Estrada vs. Angel Rivero Alirio. Another good one along the same lines was Koji Sato vs. Makoto Fuchigami, which was actually is on Youtube and happened last year (although Estrada-Alirio was literally one of the craziest fights I've ever seen).

Heard this was pretty savage, so it's nice to get confirmation of just how crazy this fight really was. :good

Not sure if it's the fight of the decade, or even the fight of the year in '06...Monshipour/Sithchatawal and Moore/Macklin took place in the same year. But it certainly was one of the better back and forth slugfests fought in a year that produced quite a few of them.:deal

Lets see you get in the ring with him. Half of these bums like Broner, etc. wish they could throw punches like Duddy. He spilled his guts out...

Agree to disagree ****wad, your mother is the far greater fraud! Her attempts to disguise her status as a slut and a **** and pretend to be a human being is dishonest to say the least!

John Duddy was damn entertaining fighter. What he lacked in skills he replaced it with his heart. Irish fighters appears to have tremendous heart.

When guy like Duddy and Yori Boy meet in the ring it has bloody war written all over it.
