he got exposed by a fighter every up and comer beats if he did fight pavlik he would have been knocked out by round 3
Billy Lyell beat Duddy clearly. However, although it's true that Duddy was an ass whoopin' in waiting, it's also true that Lyell was never a full time fighter until the Duddy fight. The Duddy fight was Lyell's first fight since graduating college, and the first time he trained full time with Jack Leow. Should Lyell decide to devote himslef 100% to boxing, he probably has some potential. He's a better fighter than his record indicates.
Also, this fight doesn't do Burns much good. Loew/Duddy spotted something before the fight and were able to exploit it all night long. Go to the body, come over the top. Also, you hear Loew telling Lyell that the 2/3 is there all night long. Duddy has been trying to gradually cut to 154. This fight could also be an indication that is a pipe dream.
No -- I did not get to see that. Duddy was the first and only time I've seen Lyell. Based on his performance against Duddy, and who some of his losses came against, I think the kid can make some money. That's about as far as I've gotten on an opinion of him.
