Two Choirboy looking Fan favourites, who were tough and classy Hombres, they both romped through their early opposition with great success, with the odd educational banana skin aside, Stracey of course brought down the curtain on Napoles Career in a big upset, and followed up with the grinding down of the fleet footed Hedgemon Lewis, but truth to tell both had seen better days, Pistol Pete may of turned in similar performances against them..? Pistol Pete did not have these celebrated moments, but his biggest challenges were against such as Ray Leonard where five consecutive left hooks curtailed his challenge, and Pipino Cuevas where anything that hits you on the button is likely to produce your swan song...its unlikely stracey could of done that much better, Stracey also lost to Palomino, Ranzany to Benitez, so both were not of the elite level, but they were worthy fan favourites with some good wins on their records, achieved in fine style, So Two good exciting fighters, But who's head Choirboy... John H or Pistol Pete...?
Tough call. I think it would be a good spirited fight between two gamers. I'll go with Stracey by a close decision.
i think Stracey would have been too smart and sharp for Pete. A clear decision for John. This one he wouldn't lose. Pete wasn't in the league of a Palomino.
I always liked Ranzany. In Sacramento, where he was a big draw, I'd give him a chance ... but overall I'd probably have to go with Stracey by decision. No way I see either getting the other out of there lest it was on cuts.
