i didn't watch the fight against big bob the other day but i noticed his weight has gone up again.

do you think he needs to go back to around 220lbs - 230lbs to give him more chance in his fights.

it worries me that his fitness is lacking. his power is there no matter what he weighs.

worst fight ive seen in some time. hoppa would be eaten alive by anyone with a technique.

mirovic said before the fight...." fittest ive ever been" ..and yet was clinching in first round.

Hard to critically judge Hoppa's performance in such a sh_t fight.

Bob clinched every single round, and at almost every single opportunity. Yes, Hoppa should have jabbed (so should Bob even more so), and yes, he could have been more aggressive.

But Hoppa controlled the fight from start to finish, and took the belt home. I'm not a Hoppa fan, but his next bout will logically play out very differently to this one.

    Hoppa isn't a boxer, he's a slugger.

His only game plan/tactic is to push his opponent onto the ropes so he can unload on them in the hope of a KO or ref stoppage.

If he is unable to do this, then he is ****ed. He will tire and be KO'd, like he was against Edwards and McCall.

The fact that his rematch with Bob involved the Australian Heavyweight title is just astounding...actually, the fact that any Hoppa fight involves the Australian heavyweight tile is astounding.

in fairness to hoppa, he has been the 1st to admit that.

for the publics sake lets hope he can continue to improve his skills and maybe set up some future entertaining aussie heavyweight contests. that's really all you can expect from hoppa, haumono etc.

none of this crop are likely to be beating either of the klitschko's but nor should they be expected to.

I think aussie fighters should just stick to fighting each other like you said. They don't have the ability to compete on a world stage , but I am sure they could give us some really exciting local match ups if they were matched against one another.Perfect example, Haumono vs hoppa.
    Sio vs edwards.
    Also Kicket vs Zapppa
or kickett vs Dib if he were to move a division or 2.
or zappa vs dib, but I doubt that would happen.
