Baker is jabbing in on Cordoba, keeping a tight guard, cheeks pinched by his fists. A few body shots by Baker. Cordoba shuffles away, very busy with his gloves, doubling jabs into Baker's guard and shoveling rights into the body, hitting elbow.

Round 2

Baker is jabbing in and hit with a low blow. Warning. Baker is swaying to either side as Cordoba throws wide can openers at him on the backfoot. Baker jabs Cordoba into the ropes and starts to hammer down with right hands. Baker keeps working the hard left jab out from his tight face-cupping guard. Baker sways to either side as Cordoba jabs and sweeps out shots at him.

Baker is a 14-0 (10) prospect - so why does he look more like a 14-year veteran? :!:

 

Round 3

Baker is jabbing into Cordoba's trachea and knocking his opposing jab down in midair. Cordoba is looping rights in behind the ear of Baker from a couple of feet away, leveraging himself off the ropes. Baker walks him down, body facing rightward, working the stiff left jab. Cordoba takes a knee in the corner after Baker triples up on a power right lead on the kisser. He stays down.

KO3!!!

 

Well, now 15-0 (11) - and the mystery is solved! He was, as it turns out, the older man in the ring.

The "Black Cat" is thirty (about to be thirty-one in February) yet has scant experience. He turned pro late, at 24, and then had a layoff of a couple of years.
