    Round 9

Jackson is jabbing and backing away. Leaping uppercut by Jerez, well short. Jackson is throwing single jabs up from the hip, bypassing Jerez's guard and scoring around his eyes. 1-2 by Jackson. Right hand by Jerez, catching Jackson circling with his gloves down! A few in the crowd get excited. Jerez starts to spam the overhand right coming forward. Jackson shakes the cobwebs and circles to his left, dipping back against the ropes to make Jerez lunge and miss with a triple jab. Jackson loops a right hand into Jerez's face and lands an uppercut at the bell.

    10-9 Jackson

    90-80 Jackson

    Round 10

Jackson is jabbing at Jerez across the sponsors' logo in center ring. BIG long looping right on the temple by Jackson. Jerez is backpedaling now as Jackson doubles up on the looping right and chases with a jab. Jerez is squatting, feinting, and throwing light jabs in multiples at the body, most too far away to be taken seriously. Jerez flings himself in bodily with a right hand, twisting around with it. Jackson straightens up and slides his feet back, dodging easily. Right hand by Jackson. Jerez curls up, head lowered, moving in. Chopping right behind the head by Jackson. Double right by Jackson. Flurry by Jerez on his toes, pushing Jackson toward a corner with his forward momentum rather than his punches.

    10-9 Jackson

    100-89 Jackson

There were two in there you could've given level (maybe to Jerez if you were reaching).

    Good, mature performance by Jackson.

He showed he can box as well as punch hard.

No shame in not stopping Jerez, as it has only happened thrice in 62 bouts.

Jackson beats Lee in a rematch.

    ...and probably Macklin too.

What a sweet KO that was.

TyC Sports is now showing a commercial for upcoming boxing cards in December they'll be carrying:

    Bolonti vs. Bute
    Perez vs. Uchiyama
    Narvaez vs. Inoue
    Cuenca vs. Peterson
    Reveco vs. Thaiyen
    Chaves vs. Bradley

...in each case showing a highlight package of the Argentinian guy.

The poor fans are being a bit misled there. All of the Argentinians listed are underdogs and some of them are likely to cop serious beatings. :yep

Jackson will probably stay put at WBC #5, as he was rated as of last month, since Jerez wasn't even rated top 40 - but getting back in the W column and staying active will help at least ensure he doesn't lose any ground.

There are some potential match-ups for him with other contenders. The like of #1 Canelo, #2 Martirosyan, and even #3 Charlo might consider him too much of a small-fry dance partner, but he is certainly viable for anyone below that. Anthony Mundine, Sergey Rabchenko, Jonathan Gonzalez, James Kirkland, Austin Trout - none of them are really in a position to feel "above" taking on Jackson or to not consider the risk worth the reward of beating a fellow top-10 occupant to perhaps move towards a big opportunity. They would all be juicy match-ups stylistically, too - and Kirkland in particular could produce some dazzling fireworks complete with a grand finale, either way.
