    What a performance by Nevin,he is so slick,i have never seen an Irish fighter with that style,he is magic..

    Very impressed by him, no shame in going down to that bodyshot because many would of not gotten up from that. Boxed really well up to that point, good opponent and a great win.

    Real impressive display of out-fighting. That jab he threw to bait Valdez's jab and slip it to counter with a right is a great textbook counter.

    Probably Irelands best ever amateur based on achievements.

    2 world championship Bronze medals and now an Olympic medal in his 2nd Olympics and only 23 years old

    Alvarez is class but from what we've seen so far Nevin is favourite for that fight in my eyes.

    Nah Nevin will go in as underdog. He's in with a great shout though. Will be a messy fight so who knows what way it will be scored...

    Yup i was very impressed by Nevin, he has a good chance of upsetting the odds
