How do you see this fight playing out, based on what you know about each fighter? 15 rounder.

    Arnold creams John L.

Well, not necessarily, but I just needed to get that out of my system.

    Carry on.

I can't see Sullivan outpacing peak Jersey to a victory.

Walcott whenever he wants, he’d land at will.

Jersey Joe would stop him eventually.
Way too skilled is Mr Walcott.

Curious how @Seamus sees this fight going, considering your critiquing of Walcott’s high standing alongside your own high standing of Sullivan. If I remember correctly, you liked his chances against Norton..

Walcott wins in the ruleset of the 1950s and John L wins in the ruleset of the 1880s over a long period of rounds

Too big of a generation gap to accurately compare them under one ruleset. Was basically a different sport back then.

That's the answer I'd give, I'd hate to see Walcott transported to 1880 and engage in the warfare they called boxing back then.

Doesn't matter how many times Walcott hits John L. Jersey Joe gets worn down and finished late.

Walcott gives Sullivan a very painful lesson in the art of counter-punching.

Not much is known about Sullivan as a fighter or at least in terms of how he looked in action. Also a lot of his opponents had sketchy record and little is known about them as well. Walcott fought and even beat some men who were verified great fighters both on film and on paper so I’ll favor him

I really do not understand why we don't put the early pre-body guys in their own category like we do the BK boys.

I think Walcott is very overrated but he knocks Sullivan out in the 2nd round at the latest.
