Arum is actually a huge supporter of the Democratic Party. He gives boatloads of money to Reid and has had Manny at fundraisers for him.

Just for the record.

 

John McCain was a boxer and has a great passion for the sport. If nothing else, threatening government intervention and casting a light on corruption should have a positive effect.

Obviously solving the debt crisis should be at the top of his list, but I applaud his consistent efforts to clean up a sport he cherishes.

 

You guys crack me the **** up.

We need a central governing body for the sport. Someone you don't like brings it up, or someone brings it up after a robbery you were glad to see happen, and all the sudden it's a worthless idea.

The sport's been marginalized enough here that we should be happy someone with some cloud even gives enough of a damn to try and fix it....or maybe you're all happy with the next generation of Kings and Arums doing the same ****ing thing the next 40 years.
