No, this is a joke. Presidential Canidate McCain boxed a little in the Navy, more like glorified sparring. In high school and college he was a varsity Wrestler. His boxing "career" was no where near the level that he wrestled at.
I read he had like 30 amateur fights at lightweight, had little skill compared to his team mates yet his aggressive style made him the most feared and victorious of the Navy team
