Finally they put David Price in a real fight, Tyson Fury has been very vocal in saying for years that Pricey has no chin and if that's the case then Big Bad John will certainly expose it, I'm glad Price is being given a test, he's been due a step up for a while now and McDermott is the perfect fight for him, John's coming off that stunning first round demolition job on Larry Olubamiwho so his confidence will be high so we have all the making for a great heavyweight domestic dust up. If Price's chin is better than Tyson suspects it is (which I think it will be) then I see him halting a brave McDermott in around the 8th or 9th but I expect him to be sternly tested along the way. What do you think of this?
I kind of agree with Price's chin though, and it's not just because of what Fury says, I just have this feeling of "glass" just by looking at him. Regardless he should beat Mcdermott.
David "Cold as Ice" Price has a genuine punch. Early stoppage for Price Ko in 2 or 3. Winner to face the winner of Chisora-Fury?
Sure hope Price pulls it off. McDermott is s likeable guy, but Price could ahve a real future, and if he follows the Butler win witha Mcdermot win, he is right in the thick of things.
I doubt McDermott will get many opportunities to test Price's chin (certainly won't hit him as much as he did against Fury). Price has a great judge of distance and uses his physical advantages to the full. Price stoppage in the mid-rounds.
Depends if price can take big shots, I remember him getting blown away in the olympic semi and he struggled then. Big John is a useful fighter at domestic level as well who has been unlucky.
Big Dave "cold as ice" Price uses his his height and reach to keep McDermott from getting near him dictating the early pace of thing with his jab. As McDermott's attempts to get inside become less and less fruitful he will cautiously go on the offensive and step in with big right hands one of which connects and puts Big John down for the count in rounds 6-8
I think this is a really good fight for both guys. McDermott is coming off a good win against Larry and will be bang up for making a name for himself in this one..... whereas Price urgently needs some opposition with form. That Butler fella had a pretty looking record but showed up 20lbs overweight and was promptly dispatched..... with this one we've got a very good idea as to how good John is, what problems he poses and how to guage Price's performance against those from Fury and also Danny Williams for what it's worth. Price by TKO in the 4th or 5th.
Agree its a good fight for both guys, I like big John though I cant seeing him getting past British level. I think Big John is going to pretty much be the test for the up and coming heavies. Although Price does seem toh ave a punch he still seems a bit tentative to me a bit like our Audley so its will be good to see how he does fair when he gets caught.
Holy ****, I didn't even know Fury-Chisora was on. Damn, that's a nice little four man tournament right there.
