McKenzie backing up Bellew. Bellew's back touches the ropes, McKenzie throws wild punches again, McKenzie slips them all and gets back on his bike, circling. 2 minutes in, nobody landing, McKenzie backing Bellew up though. Bellew throws a jab, McKenzie counters. Bellew with a nice left hook.

 

So far a repeat of the 2nd round. McKenzie backing up Bellew. Bellew circling to his right, now to his left, to his right. McKenzie pumps a couple of jabs. Bellew misses with a left hook and a right hand. Bellew in the corner, jabs, bang! Big right hand by McKenzie. That right hand wins him the round. Along with his aggression.

 

Two minutes in, Bellew is now starting to walk forward a bit. Glancing right to the head, and a left hook to the body. Bellew eats a jab. Bellew back on the back foot. McKenzie lands a nnice body shot to end the round.

 

Hey I'm only describing the action as I see it. Blame the fighters not me!

 

Bellew doing better work this round. Now, he is boxing pretty good on his back foot. Nice pot shot right hand, Bellew jab that lands. McKenzie walking forward not throwing...well and neither is Bellew just the odd shot here and there. 30 seconds left, nice right hand by Bellew. McKenzie now backs him in the corner wings a couple of punches that miss.

Jab, left hook by Bellew, blocked by McKenzie. McKenzie backs up Bellew BIG RIGHT HAND BY McKenzie in the corner. Bellew holds on in the corner. Bellew was buzzed a bit, but he's alright. Bellew backs up and circles, jab lands. McKenzie walking forward McKenzie circling. McKenzie nice left hand, good right hand by Bellew. Jab by Bellew, another jab. 15 seconds left, they stand and feint each other.

 

Round 7 starts. Bellew fighting off the back foot. Really working the jab now. McKenzie walking forward, not throwing anything. Jab to the body, jab to the head by Bellew. Circling to his right, backing up.McKenzie misses with a right. Now, McKenzie gets Bellew back on the ropes, throws, but nothing lands. McKenzie circles and jabs. 10 seconds left, Bellew with his hands down showboating a bit...for some reason. And Round 7 ends.

 

A minute into round 8 and Bellew lands a nice right. Backs up, lands a left hook. Throws a right hand, crowd wanting Bellew to throw more. Bellew backs up, McKenzie a couple of jabs now lands to the face of Bellew. 15 seconds left and Bellew swing and misses with a left hook, tries again glances off the body. Bellew stares McKenzie down as the round ends.

Score: Bellew is up, probably 6-2 or so.
