John Murray V Victor Ortiz a possibilty for Khan/Maidan undercard

This would be a brilliant opportunity for Murray.

He's almost the ''forgotten'' domestic champion, nobody really knows who he is.

A win against Ortiz would really put him on the map - Murray has different attributes to Maidana, less power, better chin, balance etc.

It's definitely a winnable fight for him, even though he'd be up against it.

 

Murray has no chance. Ortiz will pummel him, this guy is deadly accurate when he's not going crazy. Murray hasn't got the power at the weight to hurt him as bad as Maidana. I don't think it's a winnable fight for Murray at all.

 

Or he might manage to land it in Tenerife for definate this time.

 

It would be a dangerous fight to take, Murray has not been in with a puncher of Ortiz's calibre.

Murray v Mitchell would be a much better fight for Murray. This is just to big of a step up. He'd get hurt imo.

 

Why does everyone think Ortiz is world class? Based on beating Campbell and Harrison?

He's obviously talented, but he lost to a crude slugger like Maidana. And I don't think Maidana's much better than Murray really. But Murray's faced **** all opposition to comment on. Just not sure why Ortiz is held in such high regard.

 

It's not going to happen...more likely to see Rees vs Murray

id quite like to see this fight and could be the big confidence booster ortiz needs

 

This fight would be awesome if they can get it made. I am still a fan of Murray but he needs a step up and a move in his career. Ortiz is no great shakes and though Murray would still be the underdog he can definetly win this and put himself in the perfect picture for his clash with Khan or the elite of the surrounding divisions.
