John Murray vs Amir Khan - late 2009/early 2010 MEN Arena

    If John Murray was to keep winning and eventually capture a European title as well as defeat good opposition. Is this matchup ever likely to happen for us Brits!!

    The fight will only happen if Murray has something big to offer Khan. Frank Warren would only take that fight if Murray had a minimum of one of the lightweight world titles.

    Warren and Hennessy don't often do business anyway. Murray may get himself into a postion to fight Khan (if AK moves down to lightweight) but I honestly can't see them fighting Murray as a challenger.

    Cleverly is gonna chin this kid. McIntosh fights with his chin in air and has limited skills.

    anyone that says murray is crazy and stupid. only if theres a lucky KO. Murray is not in khans class

    Yeah gotta agree with Rob. I used to think Murray but I have a new found respect for Khan nowadays and genuinley think under Roach he'll do well.

    This fight sure as hell aint happening anytime soon. Murray has a heck of a lot to do before this fight would sound even remotely tempting to Warrent/Team Khan. Khan is currently fighting for a world title, deserved or not, that dont matter. Murray is fighting a guy who Khan beat comprehensively quite some time ago now...

    Khan. He's a different class to Murray but you couldn't completley rule him out because of Khan's chin.

    Khan would win but it won't ever happen.

    John is still at British level and Khan is fighting for world titles.

    Khan by KO, don't really rate Murray, think he's pretty overrated but i'm only basing that on his fight with Lee Mcallister, even though he won by KO, Mcallister showed how hitable Murray is, for the first couple rounds he could handle Lee's speed, imagine what Khan could do to him

    If this had happened pre Prescott I'd have been tempted to pick Murray, but Khan sharp-shooting from the outside with his skills and speed busts Murray up and stops him.

    Murray's a solid fighter with an exciting good to watch aggressive style but not going to fight for a world championship with a chance of winning anytime soon.

    Don't be silly.

    Far too big of a risk for low reward for Khan and Warren. You can tell they don't want a Prescott again. They fight a soft touch like ***an as a comeback, then an old ass legend that ain't a lightweight and then they cherrypick the easiest style matchup to get a world title.

    Reminds me of the way Hatton was brought up (without the KO loss). They want all the risk reward in their favour, they don't wanna lose to a Brit.
