The Cavanese boxer is apparently seeking out the Mancunian. How close is Andy to deserving a crack at the European title? How would he fare? How good a fight would it be? :think
A very close fight - Andy Murray is the better boxer and I think he could take John on points, but John is stronger and the better fighter and could stop Andy. Hard one to call, I think they are both on the same level now.
John by KO. It's one thing out boxing a Brazilian or European journeymen and another doing against someone like John Murray it's a big step up and my feeling are that it would be to bigger step up.
The Manc is all wrong with for Andy. I think he would overwhelm the Cavanman and Andy's jab wouldnt be enough to keep John off him. I see if finishing with Andy being brave but bashed up in the 7th
Andy's got a nice jab, and a pretty good chin, and although John Murray is stronger, i dont think he has enough KO power to finish Andy off, and not enough skill to outbox Andy at a distance...could be an interesting fight.
I could see john walking through andys punches, i dont think andy has enough snap in his punches to keep him off.
I voted just there for Andy on points when i didnt think too much into it. But id go for a John Murray late stoppage,I think he would wear Andy out and stop him late. Thats what i was thinking last night after watching Andy fight
Andy Murray is improving, if he works on his punch technique and tries to put more snap into his jab he would have a good chance of winning on points.
I think John would simply outwork him. Andy is probably a little ahead in terms of technical ability but John would be too relentless and would win rounds on workrate alone. Intriguing match though, I'd love to see it happen but would like Andy to get another fight or two behind him. His level of opposition has been poor thus far and he needs a bit more experience fighting higher quality boxers to be ready for John.
I think John wins a semi-close decision. Andy has the better skills but he has a lot more improving to do than John.
