John Murray vs. Andy Murray

It's a bit early for Andy, I wouldn't want him to take this yet. 1 or 2 more good fights against good opposition, preferably over 12 round distance, because if Andy is going to win he's going to need to get used to going 12.

I think he could get there though, I've always thought he was handy enough, and he's improving well. He showed good heart and focus last night as well, all good signs.

 

Tough one to call I think I'd slightly favour John. But I disagree that Andy would get knocked out. He has a great defence and also a strong chin even though it has not been tested much.

 

I think John would be too much for Andy at the moment, his power speed and pressure would break through Andy's jab and defence and lead to a mid to late round stoppage. Andy defo needs a few more high calibre 10 and 12 rounders.

 

John Murray by a late stoppage. To be honest John should be looking for a World title shot and vacate this title sooner rather than latter. Who is promoting him there were rumours out that he is leaving Hennessey but does anyone know who is linked with him.

 

the consensus seems to be that john murray would win relatively comfortably. if this is the case thenwhy isn't the fight happening???

if i was a john murray fan and felt as confident as some of the people on here that he was going to win- then i'd be screaming from the roof tops for the fight to happen

 

Not sure if Andy is on his radar to be honest, JM is probably looking at getting to world level instead,

If Andy Murray is allowed to bring his tennis racket into the ring, then I'll back him for the win. Without it I think John Murray overwhelms him and stops him in 1.

 

dont get me wrong- i dont think john is ducking him and i agree that he's looking beyond europe now but wouldn't that be a good reason to either take this fight or relinquish the title. he's only had one defence so far and is already looking at a worldt title fight so i'm guessing he doesn't have much interest in the euro title

 

I think John Murray wins fairly comfortably on points, maybe gets the late stoppage through an accumolation of shots. I dont see Andy having the snap in his jab to discourage John from walking him down. I dont think John Murray hits especially hard so it would probably go to points imo but John would win clearly. I think this would be a terrible fight for Andy to take and I couldnt see Peters making it.

i think the fight were more likely to see is a.murray v rees early in the new year for the vacant euro crown

 

Murray is by far the whitest man I have ever met even here in Donegal he stood out.
