John Murray vs Gavin Rees?

    Just picked up Boxing News and I've seen that Matchroom have made an offer to John Murray to fight Gavin Rees. If the fight comes off, it is likely to be in Sheffield on the Brook undercard on July 7th.

    Thoughts? It's a very good fight IMO. I'm not a massive Rees fan if truth be told, and think Murray still has a bit to offer.

    That's a helluva fight for an undercard.

    Thought they'd more likely stick it in Newport as top of the bill.

    I'd fancy murray in this one as well.

    Frank may want to take the risk on him now, a European title will do wonders for him. He hasn't really got too many options as it is, and it is very winnable

    If Rees comes in in shape he will win this over the distance. A focused Gavin Rees wins.

    i think a european title will be a great start to revitalising his career unlike alot of people i dont think Murrays finished atall i think he with the help of joe gallagher needs to work on his defence and and get himself into contention again as Mitchell has promised him a rematch if he wins the world title in the summer againts Burns.
    Apart from the Mitchell lost Murrays had a good career yes he lost to Rios but Rios is a special fighter and it showed how much courage he really has going straigh back in with bam bam after coming off a knockout defeat.

    That would be a great fight!!!!!

    Hope it happens.

    A real test for Rees and also for Murray.

    I'm with Bryn on this one although I feel the Rock may get a late stoppage, Real good matchup, Make it happen Eddie :D
