**John Murray vs Kevin Mitchell Build up Thread to North vs South!**

If the winner is really set to meet Brandon Rios this fight is pointless. The winner gets a decent pay day and a weekend in hospital. Great :good

Honestly don't believe Murray would take a Rios fight.

I've been pondering this fight for some time without being able to come to a proper conclusion ^^^^This has tipped the balance.....Murray TKO7

Looking at both guys, here is what I consider their main strengths.

Kevin Mitchell: decent footwork, fast hands, good jab-straight, and a good chin.
John Murray: works hard to the body, underrated lead right, cuts the ring off well.

Kevin is definitely faster and this will let him score in the first half of the fight. He can shoot the jab out, keep Murray occupied and then move away. If he’s focused, he’ll be able to drop the right hand in and possibly open cuts.

But during that time, Murray will be getting work done too. He’ll be losing the rounds, but I think he’ll be hurting Kevin and making him waste energy on the move. He’ll cut down the ring and catch him against the ropes every so often. In that time he’ll tag Kevin’s midsection and land that overhand right with real ease. Kevin will fight back and these heated exchanges will turn the fight into a thriller.

Even if Mitchell initially does well, John will be the one looking stronger at the end of each round. Those subtle shifts he makes when throwing punches and the consistency of his attack means he’ll be forcing Kevin to fight more than he’ll want to. Add that to the body work and by round 8 or 9, John will be taking over, even outboxing Mitchell at points with superior timing and his own jab.

I see a 115-113 decision for Murray.

For me picked Murray all the way but just dont think he has the power to really put Mitchell under intense pressure, Im now picking Mitchel by close decision heres a promo I made for this fight.
