**John Murray vs Kevin Mitchell Build up Thread to North vs South!**

Murray is so overated, Mictchell on Points definately.

 

Seems more like Mitchell is being overrated in this thread.

 

I honestly believe Mitchell can be a world champ, he seems like a smart fighter, not as one dimensional as Murray. He'll easily pick him off

The Katsidis fight he lost imo because of his ego, large homecrowd wanted to go toe to toe with him and made a mistake

If Mitchell took this fight after the Prescott one Murray would have no chance. Don't know how the loss has effected mentally, still Murray is **** so Michell on points

 

I did not realise Murray was so unpopular/Mitchell unpopular on these boards.

Like TFFP says there has being a massive u-turn by many people who are now backing Mitchell.

Personally still think Murray wins - probably a late stoppage.

 

No he lost against Katsidis because he had no power to keep Katsidis off and no confidence to let any firepower go. He didn't believe he belonged in the same ring as Katsidis that night and the result won't have helped his belief any. He also can't box against people with a clue, he might fancy himself as a boxer against the Prescott's but under severe pressure or against somebody who actually is a world class boxer he's going to come up short. Even C-Jo brought out the brawler in him.

At least Murray doesn't try to pretend he can box. Mitchell will start off trying to box but Murray will close the distance and drag him into the trenches.

 

He seemed very confident before the fight, maybe he was over confident. All that **** about Katsidis disrespecting him when he was younger and how he was gonna teach him a lesson

This was Mitchells big night in front of a huge home crowd, he wanted to put on a show, underestimated katsidis and it cost him

Come up short? maybe so, but do you honestly believe Murray is world class, name me one fight where he even shows glimpses of being world champ material, Mitchell is on a diferent level to him, how he'll cope mentally I reckon is another thing

 

there no over rating of mitchell. hes probs one of the more under rated fighters on this forum.

 

maybe so but John Murray is not a world class fighter.

lets remember we havent seen john murray in with anyone at the same level as Katsidis.....or Mitchell for that matter.

Gallagher reckons they're getting Mitchell at the right time, he would of never let Murray fight him after the Prescott fight
