John Murray vs Kevin Mitchell

    This would be a great fight if it were to come off, I was just wondering what youse thought about who'd come out on top. I feel Murray has been unlucky in that Mitchell's jumped ahead of him considering he's beat every good British lightweight out there.
    Mitchell will probably box on the back foot v Katsidis because toe to toe he would probably lose even though it would be great to watch. But against Murray I reckon he'd stay in the centre of the ring because even if John is good at wearing people down, he has a weaker chin than Katsidis. Hopefully, Mitchell will win on saturday and then we can see this all british battle

    mitchell would do him. i think murray will have trouble against khan and mitchell.

    im not too sure it would even be that competitive i dont overally rate murray, gets hit too much and doesnt seem to hold too much power. mitchell would stop him mid to later rounds. wouldnt mind seeing it though.

    im not to sure about his chin at world class level, he going to need a Froch esque chin because he gets hit a lot.

    Maybe, but it doesn't really answer the question does it?? Murray has not shown any chinnyness as yet really

    But he's also shown he can get outboxed by a part time syrian ice cream man, so chin or no chin, he's gonna get found out big time soon as he stops fighting tomato cans.

    Nowhere near FOTY candidate, Mitchell under mr Tibbs boxes his ears off to a 120-108 decision or knocks him out, depending on whether John has this Froch'esque chin or not.

    why do you think Mitchell will loose toe to toe with Katsidis? He has the better chin and is faster and more accurate!!

    i am not talking about getting outboxed etc, just chin for chin. I don't see how Murray has a worse chin than kats, when Murray has never been close to being stopped.
    I appreciate there is a difference in the level of opposition.

    Murray has shown me nothing to make me think he will be world class.

    I dont think he could fight at the pace Mitchell sets.
    I dont think he could take Mitchells big punches for 12 rounds.
    I dont think he could hurt Mitchell.
    Mitchell could outbox and outbrawl him.
