murray would walk down and wear down thaxton i wish thaxton would retire he has achieved alot in the game compared to his limited abilty which is a testament to his hard training and dedication but he was breathing out of this ass after 6 rounds in his last fight and looked like an old man in there,

Thaxton has early power and awkwardness and toughness, but Thaxton is the one with limitations. As fights go on, he just runs out of ideas.

Murray, meanwhile, gets better as a fight goes on. Check out the Meager fight. Murray is in the pocket and blocking all the big shots.

Murray has wanted Thaxton for ages, and would likely know exactly what to do in there. Knowing Murray's luck, he might have to settle for a titleless Thaxton. What a damn shame.

At least knocking out yet another EBU top 10 contender (after Meager and McAllister) will get Murray the mandatory spot (or very close), I reckon.

    Now theres the question.

Willie can't get a decent fight at a gypsy wedding....Limond - Murray would be a scrap that I would pay money to watch, and I think that the Jock takes it every day of the week.

I guess he never thought that stopping Amir Khan would have such a negative effect on his career.

I'd definitely welcome that. Forget all that WBU ****. Murray v Limond is a quality British title worthy scrap.

    Let's see it!

Murray would leave Thaxton a bloodied mess, just like Mezaache did.

Thaxton has finally started saying that he wants a Murray fight.

Shame that if it happens, it only happens when Jono wants it.

Limond looks like an outsider right now. With his own little niche, the WBU fringe title. Neat tidy little boxer, but Murray would be far too strong for him.

I'd be intersted in seeing Limond in the mix. He deserves an oppertunity and its ridiculous its taken this long. He'd beat the Euro Champion no doubt about it.
