He gained my affections in that amazing battle with Gary Buckland. It was a hell of a war, and about as hard-earned a victory as you'll find. At the time it went right on my short-list of FOTY candidates. He's got several good names recently tacked on to his growing resume, and is set to defend his European belt against a tough Ukrainian. Hopefully he keeps a busy schedule and continues to win, he'd make for some fun matches on the world scene.

A) He won, officially (although Terry O'Connor is admittedly dodgy). B) He's been through some real educational experiences since then.
i saw him being outboxed by lee mcallister before mcallister got cocky and started getting involved in a scrap. saw both fighters after and murray's face was quite badly swollen whilst mcallisters didn't really have a mark. i also thought the referee could have let him go on a bit longer, it was only a bodyshot and it was for the british title.
The problem for Mcallister is he couldnt disuade Murray in any way, if you cant do that then the you will just get worn down to defeat.
i thought until he got involved with murray he was troubling murray and should have kept the jab stiff and hard in his face. but murray did manage to drag him in so fair dues. i think if someone can box like mcallister did for 8 rounds or more without being dragged in then murray's face wouldn't be able to take the punishment he walks into.
not a chance. mitchell does not have the firepower to gain murray's respect and would be walked down in the later rounds.
Good fighter badly promoted.... Hennessy needs new connections in TV or his fighters need to start developing itchy feet. They are being undersold
