The boy looks very good but his record is a who's who of who the ****s. He says he wants a shot at Thaxton but I feel that is way too soon, he needs a Lawton or a Stewart and then we can make a bett judgement of his progression. He will one day be a capable British level contender and I can see him capturing the belt at some point but he needs to step up soon, just not Thaxton.

Him vs Khan in mid 08 would be good. Murray has heart, skill, a chin , aggression, a bit of defense and loads of potential.

if khan gets through earl then murray has to be next in line, thaxon has nothing left, he should vacate the longsdale belt, if he continues to hang around he'll get a serious hiding from any half decent lightweight,

murray goes to the body supremely well, he looked useful tonight, although thaxton did not look too impressed at ringside!!
he has a future albiet a domestic/european one..

Excellent all round performance by Murray against Hickman. Looking more powerful too!

Definitely one of our top lightweight prospects.

He is the only british lightweight not to be calling out Khan right now, that tells you how confident he really is!

Its an exaggeration to say he is the only fighter in his weight divison not calling out Khan.

Why should he? Khan is not the number one lightweight, Thaxton is. Thats why Murray is looking to fight Thaxton next - its probably more realistic that fight can be made as both are Hennessy fighters and if he wins he takes the British Lightweight Title, something Khan doesn't have.

He looks really good but our Lightweight division is looking good for prospects so it will be interesting to see who eventually comes out on top. I pick Khan b ut I may be stuck on the hype train.

he did call out khan. wanted to fight him in las vegas as i recall.

at least he's actually trying to make a go at the domestic scene now and genuinely work his way up the ladder. the hickman fight was the best performance i've seen from him in time.
