Hatton was The Man in his division or 4 or so years and lost to the elite. Not bad I'd say.

    'exposed quicker than Hatton' :rofl

Majority of the forum members were predicting Hatton to knock out Pacman so it's fair to say ppl were deceived :D

So some people predicted that Bruno would beat Tyson in there second fight. Other said that Lacy woud kill Calzaghe.

Exposed is an over used word. Was SRR exposed by Randy Turpin?

Linear champion at 140, belt holder at 147. Britains first ever Ring Magazine fighter of the year. Two losses on his record to two p4p number ones.

Achievement most fighters can only dream of. Love him, loathe him, be indifferent towards him, but his achievements are notable.

Sounds like he did well, think he's one of our best talents, improved so much since he got that very close decision against Al Hamidi. Don't know why everyone gets so down on him. Expect him to beat a past his best Thaxton and think he could beat the Euro champion (not even going to bother trying to spell his name). Reckon he would have a good chance in the fight with Prescott everyone talks about, don't think he is the monster sky have made him out to be.

ah, if only mcalliter had speed AND power - that is going into fantasy. no boxer is perfect and murray prepares for whatever the job is. job was to break down a slick, difficult defensive opponent, and he did it.

lawton earned his shot, having beaten gethin who beat fewkes (who apparently was going to take murray to school). lawton was coming off a win and was gutsy and awkward enough to warrant a fight.

murray's leagues above most of the british champs of recent years, and his classy performance tonight has gotten rid of some of the bad taste re losing the title on the scales.

Do you really what to see Willie get stopped?

In all seriousness how do you see that fight going? As much as I like Willie I just can't see him beating John, I doubt he has the power to make John think twice and doubt he would withstand the inevitable onslaught.

However please feel free to open my eyes.

My sentiments exactly. I just don't get the hype with Murray. Yeah he can blast away all the domestic boys but he will be schooled in the worst way at a higher level.
