To be honest at the stage of his career he's at now i'd be calling out to try and fight on the Preston card. It's about 6 weeks inbetween that show and the Mitchell one. He needs to be fighting a bit more often for me, not just on the big shows. I dont see why he couldn't be on this bill (unless his cut hasn't healed)

I think that this line from the article tells us all we need to know why Brook pulled out of the fight

i hope he could be put on this show he only did one round really only had 2 stiches looked alright after his fight so should think he would be ok to fight but jim mcdonnel was sayin he though chunky might be fightin in liverpool so if frank warrens keepin them together it looks like smith v maggee but wen they started out the olympicans he said he was goin to take them to every city glasgow is a place they aint fought belfast london manchester liverpool newcastle birmingham a think glasgow would be just as good as all them....and slap wats wrong with bellews fans?

 

I'd like to see Warren take these lads over to the States/Mexico and put them on shows over there.

Too much emphasis is put on building fanbases (And bringing in money) over here. Imagine the benifit that they could get fighting out of their comfort zone abroad. Imagine if Arnie and the boys could go over to the states for a few weeks and work alongside some top American trainers. Not only would the boxers benefit but the coaches would too.

Shame that British promoters don't seem interested in doing that enough

 

yano wat thats true m8 arnie will listen to anybody aswell a went khans gym with him and a listened to him and freddie roach geddin tips off him arnie always says he still learnin...hes not giving the olympicans as much publicity as he did khan and he was silver medalist u think warrens thinkin every fighter is goin to do wat khan did and do one to the states...warren might be scared that golden boy will take them off his hands if they fight over there

 

To be honest I think with Gavin Warren wants to bring him along properly. I think with DeGale Warren's just trying to cash in off the Gold Medal situation whereas with Gavin he doesn't need to do that. Gavin is going places and i'm of the mindset that Warren knows this and wants to do it properly with him.

I still think DeGale can go on to bigger things (if he gets back to using his skills a bit more) but I am certain Gavin's making it.

With regards to Arnie, he is obsessed with learning pal. He goes back home and watches trainers and coaches online all night looking to pick up new things and new techniques. I think he'll do really well as a coach in fairness. Not just because of how much he is interested in the technical side but as you've seen yourself the cameraderie in that gym. He has a very good bond with them lads and they seem to trust him pretty well. Warren seems to rate him really highly too which can't be a bad thing

 

ye i hope frankie does go right to the top and a think he cant get a better trainer than arnie they are both learnin and its a perfect partnership wat helps aswell in that gym is the other fighters are class aswell ye arnies mad in to his boxing int he funny with it tho it wouldnt matter if his boxers were the best in the world he said if they did any thin he told them not to he would have them out off there so they all have the craic but the disapline is still there....a dont no about degale sometimes a think he could go all way then sometimes a think he could get found out and ko'd a think billy might struggle a little bit a dont put him in same league as frankie and degale

 

I actually think with DeGale that he may need a humbling a'la Khan before he starts knuckling down.

He is a skillful boxer but at the moment he's buying into all the hype that surrounds himself and for some reason he seems intent on showing he has KO power which IMO he clearly doesn't. Frankie seems content with the fact that he isn't the biggest puncher, but he's using the tools he has and it seems the power is coming with the precision.

I hope DeGale does well at the moment, however I can see myself not liking him down the line. If I had to pick at the moment i'd say Groves beats him handily and I prefer Groves if i'm honest.

I'm not sold on BJS at all. He looks semi decent when he's fighting these lads however I think as soon as he steps up in class he will find it very difficult. I hope i'm wrong on that one as he seems a very nice lad.

They won't be doing him any favours by sticking him in there.... it's a hot division and he won't be able to hide behind his title forever.

 

I know, but thats how the sport seems to work these days :-(

 

It is ok. When he gets blown away we will see him back on these shores....

I can't stand O'Donnell and was really looking forward to Brook smashing Jennings to pieces....

 

Prefer that Jennings is fighting for the British title than some intercontinental bollocks.

Should be a good fight, i'm going with a wide Jennings UD, look forward to it.
