John Pettifer 1930s version of Fury

    This guy was as good as Fury and similar style, from the UK, tall, fast, 17 stone, only difference was the Heavyweight Division wasn't weak back then as it is now

    I just looked him up. About the only thing he had in common with Fury was being huge. Otherwise, he lost to guys with losing records and nearly had a losing record himself. Calling him an early version of Fury is like calling Muhammed Ali Durmaz a modern day version of Muhammed Ali.

    lol The Brits have been desperate for almost 90 years although I have to admit that this guy was a more skilled boxer than Fury.
