Yeah, I would say he is the best of the British commentators (aside from the legendary Jim Watt). He reads a fight very well and knows boxing, you can spot the difference between someone like that than someone who is reading off reams prepared script and cliches.
Garbage, the guy is continually making mistakes, 1 good show doesn't turn over some of the stinkers he has had including "I gave him 120 points" (in a 10 rounder from Russia last year)
Hes terrible. Never shuts the **** up during entrances and his voice is annoying. I mute the tv and listen to music usually. Darke is so much better than him.
I can overlook mistakes like that if the commentator or pundit knows their stuff and is well informed and 'knows boxing'. It is irritating when these blow ins who are invited to pundit or commentate and list off rubbish populist assumptions about boxing and their repertoire of analysis that consisted of a mega troll on boxrec.
I think he's really good, not as good as Ian Darke but he's up there with the best. He comes across as being an all round top bloke, a sporting nut - he seems to commentate on everything, athletics, boxing, sure I've seen him on the cricket too. The main thing I do like about him, in contrast to many other boxing commentators, is that he's very good at saying nothing - too many of them speak for the sake of it half the time, Adam Smith especially and Steve Bunce too, what they often forget is that you're actually watching the event, so we don't need someone talking at 1000 words per minute. I watched Spurs vs Chelsea yesterday and the Tyler/Neville combination works well, even though he's a rat faced scummer I can't pick a fault with him on the mic. He's insightful, makes relevant remarks and a lot of what he says makes sense. I know that amongst my mates I'm alone in that though, they all prefer Andy Gray or Jamie Redknapp. Gray was alright for a bit but utterly shite towards the end and a ''big name nuthugger'' in recent years, whereas Redknapp is the king of making pointless statements, babbling on too much and talking about players not celebrating against their old teams. Who really gives a flying ****?

Rawling does like a bit of "detonate that right hand" action. Apart from that he is fine. No Darke mind
Not a fan myself. He doesn't seem to know how to score a round accurately, and his voice just goes right through me. Its a pick em fight between Rawling & Kellerman for how has the most annoying voice.
