Where is John Rawling from the BBC commentator from? I know he's not from Wales, but he was in the NCP Car park today in Cardiff City Centre. Maybe he is in the Cardiff International arena for the Gavin Rees Fight.
Setanta are broadcasting Rees vs Kotelnik and Rawling does the commentary for them. He also has a column in the Independent (I think) so is covering the fight for them. Can't believe he's using the NCP, they are extraordinarily highly priced. Cardiff is very expensive for parking.
LOL!! Tell me about it!! Cost me £12 today for just over 3 hours. It was weird when i saw him, i was going to say, your John Rawling aren't you, but i just looked and walked past. I think he knew i recognised him, as i think he was expecting me to speak to him.
Rawling used to call the fights for Radio Five before commentating for ITV and now Setanta. Also writes in the Guardian
Not a big fan of Rawling, he isnt as bad as the fat Irish fella (cant remeber his name), i can always recall him saying when Barrera fought Pac the first time that Barrera had the name of his good friend on his trunks (referring to Johnny Tapia) when in fact its his mothers maiden name. I hate it when people just make **** up.
