thought i would put in perspective how worthless and utter garbage that WBA strap that haye seems to think means hes the worlds heavyweight champion

    WBA #1 mandatory john ruiz

lets see what hes done the last 5 years to crawl and scratch his way to # 1 status

John Ruiz career the last 5 years

    7 fights

    4 LOSSES

    3 wins :good

    those 3 wins against

    25 wins 18 defeats otis tisdale (2007)
    38 wins 8 defeats Jamile McCline (2008)
    19 wins 10 defeats Adnan Sernin (2009)

i cant express how sad this is and how bad for boxing it is

what a waste of time......and word on the street haye or ruiz will fight valeuv-meehan winner. hmmmm no klitschos in 2010...whats the rush right? lets build it up :rofl

the WBA makes me just as sick

    Haye makes me sick

Ruiz makes me sick when he is actually in the ring hugging people for 12 rounds

whos worth more money, haye? or the belt? how does it have value when they let a guy fight for it that hasnt beaten a top 10 guy in almost 6 years.
let me repeat. ruiz has not had a win against a top 10 guy in almost 6 years. i thought you had to earn shots....even in this day and time..at least a little

I agree that the Ruiz-Gaye winner has to get KTFO by a Klitschko but Valuev should get his rematch first because he actually should have won against Gaye. Even Jim Watt was shocked with the decision.

But, yeah the WBA is a joke.

Laugh if you want, but Ruiz is hard to beat...... He doesn't just come in to laydown for his foes'...... Ruiz was iced by Tua back in 1996, but a young Tua was able to do that when pitted against a suitable style in the ring..... Ruiz is a tough cookie.....

Ruiz will prolly fall behind on points against Dave Gaye in April, but he'll be there until the end trying to win..... Ruiz is a fighter........

Ruiz will NOT get any favors from the judges in a close encounter of the worst kind..... NONE!! Ruiz will only win if he can manage to KTFO of Gaye.....

Wether we like it or not that belt around Hayes waste adds millions to his purse, Haye - Valuev did 800,000 in the UK, that's $6,000,000 Hayes biggest payday by far, he'd be a ****ing idiot to give the title up, if the WBA keep pushing unworthy fighters Hayes way blame them, not Haye.

well, i never said ruiz is a cake walk.
i said he hasnt beaten a top 10 guy in over 5-6 years
the whole point is that he doesnt deserve the chance to fight for a title, even this one

Ruiz stays near the top of the WBA because he hasn't been beaten decisively since Toney. I thought he lost the second Valuev fight and the Chagaev fight, but both were close enough to be in contention.

If Haye takes care of business decisively, you probably won't see him in another title fight without a couple of good wins.

ok...since you seem to miss every point by a ****ing mile...:patsch
what does it matter who the best 4 heavyweights are if they are never gonna fight each other? if those 4 are the best, then whoever they fight is a waste.....might be #1 but behind 4 others makes him 5 and thats if they fight a someone decent guy...ruiz should be ranked 15th at best
the guy vitali is fighting might be #25 in world...chambers, who knows....
its all moot... i dont even much care for the klits but at least they had balls and gave that loudmouth a shot. what he do then? ran like a ***** from both. now thats heavyweight boxing in 2010 ....good luck with that
