i get that but you are pointing out that in his 4 losses since 2005 he didnt get beat down, even though he lost...but with that said the 3 guys he has beaten in the last 5 years ...have sucked beyond belief with a combine 36 losses. i dont see much difference..just the fact he has only 7 fights in 5 years and lost 4 out of 7. simple math to me. bull**** and corruption

In today's 2010 state of the lousy heavyweight division, Ruiz IS a SOLID top-10 vato competing at the world class level at age 38 yrs of age...... Ruiz has fought ugly, but he still is a force......... TRUTH!

Has nothing to do with avoiding a beatdown and losing. It has to do with the fact that all three judges havent agreed he's been beaten in a while. A close UD loss is one thing. The guy keeps getting splits and its hard to move him to the back of the line.

i dont buy that crap. mike tyson made 30 million with no belt on the line against mcneely
close to 20 million vs mathis jr (no belt)
razor ruddock fights he was in the 15 mill range and that was 20 years ago

6 million to fight haye? what a sham.

so if he won the belt, said "**** this belt, trash can it"
and fought say arreola or tua.... are you saying he wouldnt get close to that? because the world title appears in the promos? evey fight you see on tv is for a title...the average joe doesnt know the difference

wtf you want unification fights al the time

heavyweight rankings are easy to rise with two wins over fellow overated and overweight heavys

ruiz is top 10 no matter how you cut it

its the state of the HW DIVISION YOU SHOULD BE PISSED AT not haye atleast hes in relative to peek shape

look you have an agenda and have made your mind up so its pointless in me atemting a conversation with you

you still never just acept the facts in my posts

you use the phenom tyson as a measuring stick ........ no wonder you hate todays heavys

6 mill to fight haye is good value when you consider roy jones got 25 mill to fight ruiz and ruiz got 11 million

the fact you cant aceept at the strap adds value to any future purse just shows your a idiot with a hate for haye that clouds your judgement

    gooodnigh im off

Erm I don't really get this.

First off, You're not comparing Hayes pulling power with Tysons are you?

Secondly of course it makes a difference, think for a moment, every interview, radio, tv, newspaper includes 'The Heavyweight Champion of the World". It gets ingrained in the publics mind, gets him pages upon pages in the press he otherwise wouldn't get and adds £££.

heres where you give a guy credit in losing a 12 round title fight
    holyfield vs bowe
    bowe vs holyfield
    ali vs frazier (15 rds)
    foreman vs holyfield
    ruddock vs tyson

ruiz losing 12 round hug and clinch fests to the biggest worst champion ever in valeuv, a small guy in chagev who wlad dismantled, and the blown up middle weights in jones and toney who kicked his ass. all i can say, is ANYONE is hard pressed to justify this guy getting a shot in 2010 after the facts i just layed out.
    sum it up

    7 fights since 2005

3 wins (opponents had 36 losses combined)

4 losses in sloppy clutch fests

    i rest my case

anyone that cant see how bad this is hasnt been around very long to appreciate what real fights and contenders were

Boxing fan credit is different from an organization, man.

If the Ring dropped Hopkins out of the top 5 for losing the squeaker to Calzaghe, there'd have been a riot. Ugly ass fight, too.

Point is, until somebody in the WBA's top proves Ruiz doesn't belong in that spot, he'll stay. Sometimes in boxing, how decisively a guy wins matters.

so when the people turn on the radio and hear "heavyweight champion of the world" and david haye starts talking....arent they gonna wonder when he fought and defeated wlad or vitali? i thought those were the champions? :huh
i guess you can pass that off on the average guy....haye is about as much of a heavyweight champion right now as Shannon briggs was

Before we move on let me get this straight, you think Haye should be fighting Vitali and Wlad right now?

yeah, prob is, bhop didnt lose 4 squeakers in a row, in between his squeaker losses to JT he beat the **** out of a champion in tarver, beat the **** out of winky wright , then lost to calzaghe, comes back and beats up the the undisputed middleweight champ in pavlik . he wasnt fighting ****ing bums with 18 losses . and in his wins vs elite comp, he schooled them
very bad comparison bro....had to take you to school on that one

well, i actually think he should have fought them when he called them out and they accepted. which one was signed and less than a month away.
but yes, i think no matter what he should fight one of them next after ruiz, vitali is retiring soon. hes done. are you one of these build the fight up guys? well it was built pretty damn high last 2 years when he was at their fights calling them out and making tees with cut off heads... we got that part..we gonna waste another 6 months on his mouth?

Not really, bud. Point is, when you lose a squeaker, you don't drop much. Ruiz wins a fight, gets another shot, loses similarly, etc. Its how the WBA circle jerk works.

Don't take them all that seriously. Nobody else really does.
