Out of all his losses only two have been UD and 1 by KO in all three of those losses he lost to guys under 6' tall. Has Ruiz ever beaten a boxer under 6'?

In all his other losses Ruiz lost by split or majority decsion. All of those guys ranged from over 6' to 7' tall.

    Actually a decent observation.

But I think more likely is that Ruiz has trouble finding moving targets...RJJ and Toney are very difficult fighters to hit.

Ruiz is most effective when his target is in front of him, and able to be set up for his sneaky right hand, which is in fact a pretty effective punch of his. He has a decent enough hook (although he doesn't throw it very fluidly at times) and an ok jab.

Haye is a tough style matchup for him but I think Haye will find a bit of difficulty with the Quiet Man, who is a good fighter IMO.

Yep, I would favour Haye but not by much. I wouldn´t be surprised when Ruiz takes the WBA crown from Haye.

I think that Haye will have enough speed to win but I think Haye will be in for a long tough night.

    Maybe but I don't see a 20 second KO.

Man I hope Haye at least tries to pull it off.

Ruiz truly is a cockroach that needs to be squashed. Haye should go all out and try to punish the ****er.

Haye can not and will not stop the cockroach. He can't. The cockroach is a force of nature that no man has yet been able to get rid of. David Tua came close, but the roach somehow managed to re-animate.

It's true. Just like a cockroach, if you cut his head off he would STILL get in the ring as a mandatory and fight 12 round WITH NO HEAD.

    Ruiz is a has-been.
Haye might destroy him. Though a few years ago it would have been different.

Ruiz isn´t the same as against Tua. Before he faced Tua Ruiz was quite aggressive, only after this KO he became our loved Huggy Bear :happy

Btw. you should respect this man more. He is a top contender since what? 15 years? Look at his resume, aside from Vlad no other Top10 hw has one which is as good as his. He´s always in shape, always gives his best, always respectful. Yeah, he is boring and might use some dirty tactices at times and yeah you can dislake him for this but you should show some respect.

    edit:
oh, let´s not forget he never ducked anyone. All the critic that can be applied to most of today´s hws cannot be applied to Ruiz and he still is the most hated one. I think this is funny!
