What, the one where he faked a low blow to avoid getting counted out, or the one where he got a gift draw? Ruiz was always a fraud and a cheater. A glorified clubfighter who would have trouble winning a regional belt without his connections to King. Excessive holding is against the rules. And faking low blows - which Ruiz did in SEVERAL fights - is just disgraceful.
Seriously though, if you watch that trilogy, it was no where near as bad as its made out to be. The first fight was not good, but it wasn't particularly poor imo, the second fight was pretty good to decent. Hopkins vs Allen is comparable, perhaps worse?
WHATEVER......... Berto held against Urango more than Ruiz's entire career and ppl don't say ****, not to mention Hopkins and others sometimes also do it in excellent displays of snoozefests yet Ruiz is the one that gets most heat 4 it.... I guess somebody is gotta get it.... anyways, the guy fought any and everybody they put in from of him, but I guess that's bad for some of you.... better to duck a big fight than to risk losing, right??
Ray got his anis handed to him by The Quiet Man :yep This shows that any HW can be exciting if you give him the "right" opponent.
