The prospect of anyone sensible ever referring to Ruiz as "the most accomplished Heavyweight of the last decade" is non-existant.

He will never get into the HOF - simple as that.

Ruiz is a lock for the hall of fame. Even if he loses to Haye.

Vitali is only a 3 time champ if you count his WBO belt, which was held back when nobody counted that belt. Of course, Vitali is also a lock for the Hall of Fame.

There's a small argument for it, but probably only for being latino. Otherwise, he doesn't belong.

Also, three time world champion isn't a very interesting description when it's the same alphabet title three times relating to getting his ass kicked and fighting someone else to win it back. I think a one time world champion that kept his title for the entire time might merit a bit more fame.

Ruiz is a guy who benefited from multititles and easy competition. I do not see him Hof. His longevity is ok, but he loses and comes back and loses. Good perseverance. I suppose someone can get into the HOF with perseverance and fighting the right opponents. A rematch with Tua or fighting Lewis or Tyson would not have worked his way.

Exactly. The only way Ruiz is getting into the HOF is to buy a ticket like the rest of us!

The only Hall Ruiz belongs in is the Hall of SHAME, for all the illegal tactics he utilized to "defeat" his opponents illegitimately - holding excessively and faking low blows - and for ripping off the fans of the legitimate boxing matches they paid to see. His is an utter disgrace to the sport of boxing and to the idea of sportsmanship.

If they let Ruiz in they will open the gates for any good level fighter.
