John Ruiz is a good fighter

i suppose he isnt the worse fighter of all time, but he may be the worse heavyweight champ of all time.

above average fighter who was matched smartly. i remember him mostly for being clowned by 2 former middleweights.

 

He's not a good fighter, he's a good cheater.

 

The guy lost to not one but TWO former Middleweights for christ sakes! One was a fat slob the other has a chin so bad he can't even take punches from Glen Johnson.

Ruiz is horrible and the worst beltholder of the last 25 years.

 

Ruiz is the man.

People give him a lot of ****, but almost always his opponents hold just as much as he does.

Additionally...against certain styles, Ruiz doesn't hold that much...his fights against Holyfield weren't bad, the Chagaev fight was actually pretty good and the Golota and Valuev fights weren't terrible events.

And he does have some sneaky power in that right hand as well...he also took the fight to Valuev which was a ballsy thing to do.

The man will fight anyone and can go 12 hard rounds. That's all I can really ask of a HW right now.

Please stop copying what everyone else says, because it's just plain bull****. John RUiz is NOT undefeated. He has lost PLENTY of fights and won a few he deserved to lose. HE DOES NOT always find a way to win.
