John Ruiz owes be at least 3 hours of my life back for being the most boring crap fighter with the ability to stink up any match up ever. And he's a bad loser, and he fakes getting hit low. Terrible. The only thing good about him was when he dressed up like Dolemite and threatened to make RJJ his 'ho before their fight. He looked like an even bigger idiot then.
Well the 'best record of the 00s" is obviously bull****. But some of you actually like his attitude? Even after the way he acted towards Roy Jones before their fight? Are we forgetting him getting his ass beat buy a guy 25 lbs lighter than him? HELLO?
You are A ****ING IDIOT. Bottom line. That is about as normal a record as most fighters now. Get a life, you aren't convincing anyone on your personal crusade. Seriously, no one gives a **** what you think.
Why, let's look at that same 4 year period of heavyweights and their activity level, after the Rahman fight in May 2000 to April 2004, when Sanders fought 4 times, shall we? Wladimir Klitschko= 11 fights Chris Byrd= 8 fights Danny Williams= 14 fights Kirk Johnson= 7 fights David Bostice= 15 fights Lennox Lewis= 6 fights (and his last fight was June 2003) Hasim Rahman= 8 fights David Tua= 10 fights Why yes, surely Sanders was definitely an active fighter, with one fight a year after the Rahman loss, right? And you're right, maybe nobody cares. Of course, that doesn't stop you from getting mad and trying to attack me. So somebody cares, unless you're basically calling yourself a "no one". :hi:
Perhaps when looking at their resumes you should take a look at their losses as well. Ruiz gets blasted by tua in 19 secs, loses to 2 blown up middleweight (toney on steroids of course) lost to valuev who might be an even bigger disgrace 2 the sport than ruiz and then loses 2 chageav whose ok but not exactly the greatest thing out there. Vitali's only loses came when he was ahead on all cards due to injury.
So you're admitting that Huggy Bear has a better level of opposition than Vitali? If so, then I agree. :good
Exactly. Ruiz is a cheater and a fraud. Without King to move him undeservedly in the ratings, and grease the wheels for his illegal tactics - this glorified clubfighter would have been lucky to win the New England regional title, let alone a "world" title belt. His entire career after King plucked him from the scrap heap and put him in the ratings is thoroughly illegitimate. Most boxing fans knows this. Sadly, some think that merely sharing a ring with decent fighters - and cheating against them - makes this talentless palooka any good. Knowledgable fans know better.
Ruiz who? Heavyweight champs DO NOT LOSE to blown up Middleweights slowly beginning to slide, How good a fighter they may be.
Real knowledgable boxing fans know how cheating such as using steroids can be extremely dangerous in a brutal sport like boxing. something fighters like james toney, evander holyfield, shane mosley, vitali klitschko, probably shannon briggs, and richard hall know about using. but the honorable warrior john ruiz doesn't need to resort to steroid use to compete in the sport. ruiz lost or had no-contests to 2 former middleweight titlists who have flunked a total of 3 post-fight steroid tests. again, a true honorable warrior like john ruiz does not feel the need to cheat drug policies and make it even more dangerous for his opponents by juicing.
6-4 and 1 draw does not a good resume make. Yeah he fought better competition, but he lost. Tex Cobb fought some pretty good heavyweights but I wouldn't go around calling him an honorable warrior just cuz he got his ass kicked by ken Norton and Larry Holmes.
Cobb beat Shavers. When has Vitali ever beat a HW as accomplished as Shavers? But Vitali's weak resume is not the point. That is a given. We are here to talk about the quality opposition level of John Ruiz, whom unlike guys like Wladimir, Vitali, Toney, RJJ, and Holyfield....never got caught using steroids, ran from mandatories, or claimed he was drugged after losing.
