He got caught by someone that was a monstrous puncher. That doesn't prove he doesn't have a chin.

I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see that happen again to Ruiz though. That was fuuuuun, and one of those rare KOs that got more fun with time :yep

Tua landed a lucky punch and has gone on to have a **** career while the Quietman is a future hall of famer.I hope Ruiz does get a chance to fight Vladdy so he can drop his big right hand on the egg and win another world title to further cement his legacy.

Ruiz has "sneaky power" in his right hand. It's so sneaky, he can stop you without you even being hurt. Ask Oquendo.

The Quietman didn't let that lucky punch ruin his career and went on to win multiple world titles. It was obviously a lucky punch since Tua was never able to duplicate the feat against any other top fighters.:good

he warred with Ibeabuchi from bell to bell. name another 90's hw that could have done that. name a ruiz performance that was that impressive. and don't you dare mention anis, because that was a god damn lucky punch!

In all fairness i quite enjoyed Chagaev vs Ruiz .. he didn't do much excessive holding there.
Same with Klitschko in any bout after Peter (and even that wasn't even close to a typical Ruiz fight)

That said .. Klitschko by brutal KO before the 5th.

Ike has always been very overrated and could have easily lost to several heavyweights of the 90's.:hi:

    :rofl:rofl:rofl
You're joking, right? That was a very quick stoppage, against fighter not known for having a particularly good chin. Before that, the last knockout Ruiz scored was against some tomato can, and he hasn't scored any since.

One of the reasons Ruiz cheats is that he can't knock guys out at the world class level. Hell, without the holding and ham acting, he couldn't do much of ANYTHING at the world class level!! :patsch

Zakman please help me out here. Would Ibeabuchi-Ruiz last any longer than Tua-Ruiz, or was it really "luck" that poor, uber-talented JR fell victim to a bad stoppage early in his career? :rofl
